Bugmenot.com
- Tired of signing up for newspapers and other websites that you go to
infrequently just to go back later and realize you wasted your time signing up
because they only filled your inbox with SPAM and you can't remember your logon
information anyway? Go here and type in the site address. If someone
has already done it, you can use one of the generic login's there and stop
wasting your time filling out forms and wading through the extra unwanted
email. If no one has done it, you can and submit the information.
You'll be helping others and they save the login for you so you know that they
are all in one place.
Wikipedia - Obvious reasons. A
very well kept up-to-date online encyclopedia. Free!
eBay - Great cross reference tool.
Looking for old magazine articles, trying to see what something looks like or
need cheap supplies.
The Way Back Machine - Ever wonder how
news sites can show you information that was on a website years ago. Ever
go to your favorite site to find that they have deleted something that you
wanted to see again. Go here and type in the address and they will take
you back.
You Tube - These days nearly everything
on TV is saved and on You Tube. Including Old news clips. There are
a lot of good videos from service members in Iraq and countless lists of other
things such as "How To" videos and people just being themselves.
And all videos there can be embedded into you myspace.
Snopes
- A great urban legend database
