| On June 2, 2005,
the Federal Communications Commission lifted restrictions on media
ownership that allowed big media companies to get much bigger. As
it stands, you rarely see the mainstream media picking up stories that
the people should be seeing. We must read alternative news sources
to get the full picture and we must stop the FCC from allowing
communications companies to get larger and larger. How can be
expect a fair and balanced approach to news when only a couple of
outlets are getting the news to the people?
